Some abnormal phenomena occur during the operation of the system, which should be maintained and repaired in time, such as low-level alarms, although it does not affect the temporary operation of the system. However, if it is not maintained and eliminated in time, it may cause a big accident. For example, the quality of the power grid is poor, the voltage fluctuation is large, if this phenomenon is not paid attention to, the numerical control system will run in the harsh power supply environment for a long time, and the serious consequences of millions of main modules will burn.

Preventive maintenance work is an important part of the use of CNC machine tools, CNC maintenance personnel, operators and managers should work together to do this work.

Numerical control system programming, operation and maintenance personnel must go through special technical training, familiar with the numerical control system, strong current configuration, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other parts of the CNC machine tool principle and structure. According to the requirements of the machine tool and system instruction manual, the correct and reasonable operation of the CNC system and the machine tool to avoid failure caused by improper use.

Input device

Paper tape reader or disk totalizer is an important input device of CNC system. CNC system parameters, user macros and part machining programs are all entered into the CNC through it. The tape reading part of the paper tape reader will make the information of the paper tape read wrong, so the operator should check the reading head, the paper tape press plate, the paper tape channel surface every day, and wipe the dirt with gauze dipped in wine. The moving parts of the paper tape reader, such as the driving wheel shaft, guide roller, compression roller, etc. should be cleaned regularly in the week. Lubricated guide roller and tensioning arm roller every six months. The magnetic head in the disk drive in the disk reader should be cleaned periodically using a special cleaning disk.

Clean the ventilation and cooling system of the CNC device regularly. When the ambient temperature is too high and the temperature in the numerical control device exceeds 40 degrees, it is not conducive to the normal operation of the numerical control system. If the ambient temperature of the CNC machine tool is high, the ventilation and heat dissipation conditions should be improved, and the air-conditioning device should be installed if conditions exist.
